Fitter Welder

Fil-Trek is looking for skilled fitters & welders with experience in pipe welding.

This position is permanent full time, 40 hours a week with overtime if required.

Benefits after 3 months. Shift is 7AM to 330PM.

• Understand and follow weld procedures
• Experience welding GMAW (MIG)
• Experience welding GTAW (TIG) is an asset, but not required.
• Experience with stainless, high alloys is an asset
• Knowledge of working with drive rollers and positioners to weld pressure components
• Experience with using pneumatic tools, grinders, oxy-acetelyne torches and plasma cutters
• Able to work under little supervision
• Work well under pressure to meet deadlines
• Work well in a team atmosphere
• Able to read and follow fabrication drawings
• Able to set manual and semi auto welding machines
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• Wages are negotiable depending on the performance during the weld test.
• MIG test: 3/8" carbon plate, horizontal position, open root
• Optional TIG test: 2" sch 40 carbon pipe, open root

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $28.00 to $36.00 /hour
